On Wednesday Indian Stock market closed on red note. The 50-share index closed at 5,519.10, down 23.15 points or 0.42 percent, it touched a high of 5,561.45 and a low of 5,486.85 and BSE Sensex ended at 18,664.88, down 68 points or 0.36 percent, it touched a high of 18,811.46 and a low of 18,551.35 in trade today.
The S&P BSE Midcap Index closed 0.7 per cent higher and BSE S&P Smallcap Index rose by 1.34 per cent. IT, FMCG and automobile stocks closed weak.Oil, power, PSU and consumer durables stocks too posted notable gains.
