On Thursday after a cautious and listless start, the Indian stock market moved up smartly and ended notably higher. The Sensex ended at 18,759.26 with a gain of 94.38 points or 0.51% and Nifty closed at 5559.20, up 40.10 points or 0.73%.
Capital goods, PSU, bank, consumer durables stocks edged higher and Power, automobile stocks are closed on a firm note.
