Stocks to move today 3rd jan



Sarda Energy & Minerals
has allotted 18,04,891 equity shares of Rs 10 each at a premium of Rs 500 per share to M/s. Asia Minerals, Hong Kong, on preferential basis.


The stock reacted positively and was at trading at Rs.336.55, up by Rs 9.70 or 2.97%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs 338 and low of Rs 332 on volume of 42545 shares.

Emami is expecting a 15-20 per cent growth in its Chyawanprash segment even as its plans to consolidate all its brands under the category. The company will also spend Rs 12-15-crore in the current fiscal to boost the sales of its popular brands through its new marketing initiative.


The stock was at Rs 409, up 1.33 per cent on the NSE. It touched a high of Rs 410.85 and low of Rs 405.20 in trade so far on volume of 13341 shares.

TVS Motor Company sold 1,71,790 units in December 2010, a jump of 42 per cent, as against 120,913 units in December 2009. The stock was at Rs 73.10, up 3.39 per cent on the NSE. It gyrated between high of Rs 73.95 and low of Rs 72.10 intraday.

Hero Honda Motors December sales stood at 5,01,111 units. During October-December quarter, sales stood at 1.4 million units. The stock was at Rs 2011.20, up 1.16 per cent on the NSE. It moved between high of Rs 2020 and low of Rs 2001.15 intraday.

NTPC will set up 4,000 MW power project at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh at a cost of Rs 23,000 crore. The state Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy cleared the State Government's concurrence for buying 50 per cent of the power generated (2000 MW) at the plant.

The stock was at Rs 198.65, down 1 per cent on the NSE. It touched a high of Rs 202.50 and low of Rs 197.55 in trade so far.
