The BSE Sensex on Monday climbed more than 1 percent to scale a fresh 32-month high as economic data in the U.S. bolstered sentiments across Asian markets.

IT firm Mahindra Satyam fell more than 9 percent after it said late Friday it would delist from the New York Stock Exchange in mid-October due to non-compliance as it would likely miss a deadline to restate results for fiscal year 2009.

At 9:04 a.m. (0334 GMT), the 30-share BSE index was up 0.6 percent at 20,159.27 points.

The 50-share NSE index was at 6,048.65 points, up 0.5 percent.
