Market update(5th Aug)

Our market opens up quiet and small gap-up. Earlier, the US markets ended up with the Dow Jones gaining 44 odd points while Asia is trading higher. Sensex is trading at 18266, up 48 points from its previous close, and Nifty is at 5479, up 11 points. CNX Midcap index is up 0.4% and BSE SMALLCAP index is up 0.3%. The market breadth is positive with advances at 471 against declines of 144 on the NSE.
