The Rupee eased in opening trades on Thursday in anticipation of higher demand for dollars from oil importers.
At 9:01 a.m , the Rupee was at 49.28/29 to the dollar, weaker than Wednesday's close of 49.22/23.
The Indian markets are witnessing a lacklustre session amid volatility tracking unsupportive Asian cues. Among the sectoral indices metal, realty, technology, auto and power were major losers.
Among the 30 Sensex stocks, Gainers - SBI up by 2.13%, HUL up by 1.24% and Tata Motors up by 1.21%. Losers - Sterlite dipped by 3.54%, M&M dipped by 1.85% and Bharti Airte dipped by 1.47%.
