On Thursday Nifty ended at Rs 5,842.25, up 71.35 points or 1.24 percent, it touched a high of 5,848.20 and a low of 5,786.05. Sensex closed at 19,417.76, up 240 points or 1.25 percent, it touched a high of 19,445.02 and a low of 19,245.01 in trade yesterday. The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.68 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index was 0.24 percent higher.
