Today Sensex gained 65 points in early trade on sustained buying by funds and retailers amid a firming trend in Asian region. Now Sensex is trading at Rs 18030, up 17 points from its previous closing and Nifty is trading at Rs 5436, up by 0.10 percent. ICICI Bank, Bajaj Auto, BPCL , Wipro and GAIL were among the major Nifty gainers. Sesa Goa, Jindal Steel, IDFC, Bharti Airtel and Sterlite Industries led the losers pack.
