Today the markets closed with moderate declines and traded in rangebound throughout the day. Today due to weak global cue markets beginning with fall. Federal Reserve disappointment and before ECB meeting global markets saw frustration. Rupee against U.S. Dollar weakness also put pressure on Market. In today's session Oil & gas, banking and auto were the biggest losers while consumer durables, power and capital goods gained significantly. The Sensex closed at 17224, down 33 points from its previous close, and the Nifty shut shop at 5228, down 12 points. The top Nifty gainers were NTPC, BHEL, Axis Bank and SAIL while the biggest losers included Cairn India, Tata Motors, BPCL and Tata Power.
